BEHIND THE LENS
I'm Kellie
I've been a photographer for 15 years. A passion for art that began in the fashion and wedding industry, designing and sewing custom gowns and running a design blog, slowly developed into my craft today as a family and motherhood photographer. (My passion for gorgeous dresses never left, for sure!)
I photographed weddings for 6 years, honing my skill and client experience, and still adore taking on a very limited number of special couples each year!
Now, the rhythm of my days as a homeschooling, homemaking, work-from-home entrepreneur meshes perfectly by bringing all that experience into an art that combines the design, fashion, adventure, journalism, and heart of family that is so important to me.
I'm a wife, mother of three, and child of the King. Jesus is my story and song, the Light by which I see.
I'm a North Idaho resident of over three decades, and I truly love our community so much and love meeting new faces and building relationships with you! I can always recommend a beautiful corner of this slice of heaven to explore, too, having grown up between CDA and Sandpoint. Idaho never ceases to inspire and I am so grateful to raise our kids here.
Day by day you can find me with the love of my life Chris, and together, we own and operate a Martial Arts school full time. Training, teaching, dreaming, discipling, a heart for courage and community are the rhythm of our days.
Creating art celebrating the beauty of motherhood and the depth of family love fills my heart in the spaces between.
These two sides of my heart - athlete and artist, fighter and photographer, maker and mother, weave the canvas on which I pursue beauty in all it's forms.
I passionately crave what is real, honest, rewarding, lasting, and true - and I am willing to go the extra mile, delay instant gratification, take the longer path to experience and share it and hand it down. Food, worldview, relationships, parenting, the ways in which we live. It all matters so much.

Sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. We’ve found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos.

We check in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else we should know about your big day.

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about three weeks of your wedding. At that time, we'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.
